In Lubbock, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (806) 798-1444. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is maryleegardens.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 167 reviews, which is a strong result for a garden center in Lubbock and suggests consistent service.

Lubbock is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Lubbock peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Bought a rudbeckia plant today the roots were something else, you all should check those. I started to bring it back but we live pretty far I went ahead and planted. Highly unlikely it will live. Started to buy a 60.00 rose pot kinda glad I didn't i imagine the roots are about the same. I also wanted to pay for a couple of your French holly pods you all have growing wild . You have a huge area and randoms all over. The guy said I couldn't buy any. Most nurseries would have said just take a couple. I mean whats two little dried seed pods going to hurt when you have thousands. I was willing to give 10 bucks for two little pods. Ahwell. Another thing I do not care for is you do not warranty your high priced trees. The guy stated because you do not plant them. I will have to stay to the big boxed stores on big tree purchases I guess as they do one years and they do not plant them. Nobody wants to spend 600 on a tree and not have some kind of warranty period especially when many of your trees did not look healthy.

Mary Lee Gardens is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the spring. The selection is impressive, with a great variety of both indoor and outdoor plants, plus a wide range of home dΓ©cor and garden accents. It’s much bigger than it looks and easy to spend time just browsing and seeing what they have. Everything is beautiful this time of year, with so many plants in bloom. It’s a fun, relaxing place to walk through and get inspired for your home or yard. Whether you're looking for something specific or just want to browse, they really have a little bit of everything. Definitely worth a visit.

I love the feel of this place. The employees are super friendly and laid back and let you look without bothering you too much. Great selection of plants and flowers. I really like how they have a sign up and let you know what to plant right now for this season. Super helpful!

Note that the indoor pictures are a little more yellow in color than normal; Shot on S9+, Review below Good selection of plants, flowers, trees, fruit/veggie/herb plants, and shrubs! Well-organized, plenty of walking/viewing room, nice proactive staff! Pricing is as usually expected, especially depending on how much you value greenery. Prices increase as the ages of the plants increase. $500 half-grown trees, $50 shrubs, etc! Relaxing to walk through, great scenery.
